I've been there!

If you're new to me... hi there! My name is Sherri King and I worked at a university in higher education marketing for almost 18 years and have more than 30 years of graphic design experience. I also have a master's degree in social media, yes, it's a real thing!

Our social media for international student recruitment program won top awards in the industry, and personally I won a Distinguished Services Award for my part in implementing, growing, and maintaining the program.

And while that all sounds easy — snap a photo and post it on social media —  it isn't! It took years of learning the intricacies of international marketing, online marketing, and what attracts prospective students to our school.

In fact, when I first started my career, social media didn't even exist, and neither did wifi on cell phones. Gasp. We did everything manually, including visiting each market in person, attending education fairs, and talking face-to-face with prospective students and their families.

But then came social media and a new way of reaching markets that we otherwise wouldn't have been able to visit in person.

Here's the thing...if you’re going to build a successful online student recruitment process that showcases your school, then you’re going to have to get real about, well… YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA!

It doesn’t matter how great of a recruiter you are. If you don’t know how to make yourself or your school look good online and in print, finding prospective students that need the programs you have to offer, and actually getting bums in seats, is going to be a challenge.

Successful higher education marketers know that in order to build a business that doesn’t include you working 24/7, begging for students, or exhausting yourself playing the guessing game on social media, you need to have three things in place:

And that's to 1) know who your ideal prospective student is, 2) make a positive first impression, and 3) stand out from your competition with a cohesive and professional-looking brand with consistent posting schedule.

Because at the end of the day, if you don't know what to post and have a consistent schedule... your school isn't going to reach very many prospective students, right?!

Take it from someone who's spent the last 11 years in a perpetual state of learning and teaching online student recruitment — once you have these three ingredients nailed down, you're well on your way to building a successful recruitment program that gives you the income and the impact you've always wanted.

So let’s do this.

Save time, I've got you covered!

Sure you can search on Google or YouTube for ideas what to post, create your own graphics, write captions, find hashtags, then schedule for posting. There's lots out there! So why not subscribe and get all this in your inbox each month, instead?

This done-for-you content is absolutely for you if...

  • You don't have the time to research content ideas, write captions, research hashtags, and schedule posts.
  • You have a team member that does your social media and by subscribing to this done-for-you program, it will free up a lot of their valuable time for other projects that are more meaningful.

This done-for-you is NOT for you if...

  • You would rather spend sooooo much time each month researching ideas and creating your own content.
  • You don't really know what you want or need for your social media marketing (contact me for a consultation).
  • You don't really want to do this and would prefer to hire someone to do it for you (contact me for design quotes if this is you!).

The best way to get something done is to begin.

It's time to get things done!

Have a burning question?

Here's what others have asked.

Although it's not necessary, I do recommend that you upgrade your free version of Canva to Canva Pro for many more added features, more photos, and more graphics available for your use. After you register for this content, you'll receive a welcome email with what's coming and what I recommend, including a link to a free 30 days of Canva Pro to try it out.

Each month there will be a Word document in the portal, with captions and links to the Canva templates for you to access and customize to your branding.

Well... I was hoping to keep this as a surprise...

Actually, no. You'll receive content on a monthly basis. I found that if I release too much content it's quite overwhelming so I want to give it to you in manageable sets. I tend to over-deliver, so you will have lots of options for your post, and if you choose not to use some, they may trigger new ideas for you!

Because this is digital content, I don't offer refunds but if you choose to cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the subscription period you've paid for.

Each subscription is for one school, I appreciate recommendations to your colleagues but please do not share access to your subscription and the files.
